Hanging deer toe, real bone. This deer toe is approximately 4 3/8 inches long by 5/8 inch at its widest point. When hanging, the toe is approximately 9 inches long.
A deer foot consists of two elongated toes. Each toe is capped by a hard, horny toenail that we call the hoof. It’s made of keratin, the same material that forms our fingernails.
